Dear Supporters,

   I attended the Williamsburg and James City County Public Schools work session and first  in-person monthly meeting in May 2021 and June 2021. The school board members were excited about the students returning back to school and Moving Forward with the six goals in Elevating beyond Excellency.  I could feel the sincerity and appreciation for our educators from each and every school board member in how educators performed during the Coronavirus Pandemic. Actually, they had a media presentation from the beginning of virtual and hybrid learning as a way to commemorate the efforts and hard work of the educators during  COVID-19.  The presentations were so meaningful and that on the same day of the school board meeting vaccinations were given to our students in the Williamsburg and James City County Public Schools system. Therefore, Moving Forward a timely essence theme.  Inclusion and equity to educational  in goal number two is one of my points of interest as well for inclusion and educational access to the sometimes marginalized group LatinaX, Latina/os and Hispanics to increase graduation rates.   We all know that our whole universe has experienced a traumatic event  the Coronavirus pandemic and now is the time to "Move forward " and get all our students up  to and excel beyond the standards.  I will advocate for all students and grant access and  not delay  educational services based on psycho-social factors.
